Japan Yoga Niketan were established in 1980 is closely tied to Yoga Niketan rishikesh in India.
Yoga Niketan is part of the oldest Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh India. It is located on a gentle hill by the bank of the holy river Ganga. It was established in the year 1964 by Yogacharya Swami Yogeshwarananda Saraswati Maharaj Ji with the sole purpose of spreading yogvidya and spirituality in the world. Japan Yoga Niketan was established for the purpose of conveying traditional yoga by yogaacharya Keishin Kimura.

The Yogic education here is based totally on Patanjali yoga sutra and Upanishad. The main activity of the Yoga niketan is to train and provide guidance in the practice of Patanjali's eight fold path. This includes physical, mental and spiritual training. In addition, Japan Yoga Niketan spread the Yoga therapy for social community and research of yoga therapy for Psychosomatic disorders and others.

The primary objective of the course is to transform the knowledge to be possible to teach yoga with confidence in a holistic manner. The course is a combination of two theories and Practical Subjects like Breathing techniques, Asana, Sat Kriyas, Pranayama, Meditation technique. On the completion of this course, the students will be able to teach yoga to the general public even having health related complaint. The holistic way to avoid diseases, promote positive health and bring harmony and peace in the society.

At the end of this course, the students will be able to assessment of client, counseling, and to teach yoga therapy program for the psychosomatic disorder.
